The conference titled “Turkish: The Gateway to My Career – Job Opportunities!”, organized by Istanbul 29 Mayıs University TÜRÖMER, was held on 8 December 2025 in room AE115 with the strong participation of students from various countries. Students from 20 different countries and 19 universities attended the event.

The program began with opening remarks delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sinanoğlu and Director of YADYOK and TÜRÖMER, Dr. İbrahim Helalşah. In the opening speeches, it was emphasized that Turkish is a strategic skill for international students both in academic and professional life.

The event aimed to help international students relate their Turkish language learning to their future career goals. During the program, Dr. İbrahim Helalşah, Dr. Nihad Abunasser Melikoğlu, and Prof. Dr. Michelangelo Guida shared examples from their own experiences, illustrating the opportunities that Turkish offers in academic and professional fields.

Students actively participated by asking questions to the speakers and gained new perspectives on the growing importance of the Turkish language in the international arena.

At the end of the conference, participants had the opportunity to clearly observe how Turkish can play a strategic role in career planning. TÜRÖMER will continue to organize student-centered academic events.
